5 Steps to Build Your Own Brand

What is Branding: Part 4

Now that we’ve talked about what branding is and why it’s important - what’s next?

Let’s warp up our branding segment with a 5 step guide of how you can get started to build your own brand.

1) Identify Your Target Audience

Who is your target audience?

Who are you trying to reach?

What is their age range, their demographics.

What do they like?

Where do they spend their time?

Who is your ideal customer?

2) Define Your Brand Values

What are the core principles that guide your business?

What is your mission?

What is your vision?

3) Develop a Brand Voice

What tone and personality do you want to convey?

How do you sound to your customers?

Are you their neighbor? Are you more corporate?

What voice suits your brand?

4) Create a Visual Identity

Put everything together to be visually represented by your logo, colors, fonts, icons, photography, etc.

How is your brand being visually represented?

Invest in this aspect so that you can have a professional guide you to bring your vision to life.

5) Consistency is Key!

Ensure all communication channels reflect your brand identity through the visual, voice, customer experience, everything.

Creating a distinction between your business platforms and your social ones. If your personal social platforms are your business, make sure they reflect that.

All of your visual branding should be the same wherever your customers interact with your brand.

If they go from your Instagram to your Facbook, to your LinkedIn, it shouldn’t look like three different business.
